annual grazing/mowing

Range of mixtures based on annual grasses and legumes, with high yields and rapid implementation in the field. The high regrowth capacity allows the crop to be chosen for a final cut or for all season grazing.

CROP MANAGEMENT

  • Sowing season: From September to November.
  • Fertilizer:
    • Subsurfaces: 25 to 50 units of N; 50 to 90 units of P2O5; 50 to 90 units of K2O.
    • Surfaces: 40 to 60 units. N after cutting Sand/or grazing (between November and January).
  • First grazing: with the ryegrass of the mixture between 8 to 10 leaves.
  • Ideal final cut: 30 to 40% of legumes are in flower

AVAILABLE FORAGE MIXTURES

  • ACID SOILS: sowing dose of 30 to 35 kg/ha
  • NEUTRAL/ALKALINE SOILS: sowing rate of 30 to 35 kg/ha
  • SANDY SOILS: sowing rate of 30 to 35 kg/ha
  • NORTH OF THE PENINSULA:sowing rate of 30 to 35 kg/ha

EXPECTED YIELDS

  • UFL: Energy content of forages, expressed in feed units for milk
