DESCRIPTION

  • The most planted forage legume in the world with a deep root system.
  • Slightly toothed trifoliate leaves that may have some white marking.
  • Flowers: White to violet inflorescence.
  • Thousand seed weight (TSW): 2.00 to 2.25 g
  • Tall plant:80 to 90 cm tall
  • Seeds: pod contains from one to five small yellow seeds

FEATURES

  • A deep root system allows a great capacity to take advantage of relative humidity and persistence.
  • Shows all its potential in irrigated conditions and deep and well-drained soils, preferably in neutral to alkaline pH.
  • High nutritional value for mowing and grazing.
  • Well-established plants are tolerant to a wide range of herbicides for winter weed control and are very competitive with summer weeds.
  • Persistence is determined by the variety, the existing pests and weeds, the edaphoclimatic conditions, and the form of use.

SOWING 

  • Sowing Period: 
    • Fall: September to November.
    • Spring: March to May
  • Sowing Rate:
    • Pure: 20 – 40 kg/ha.
    • Mixture: 2 – 10 kg/ha, depending on the species.
  • Compatible species: grasses and legumes, for permanently irrigated meadows. However, it is preferably used as a single crop.
  • Inoculant: Group AL
