Sorghum is a species which possesses a huge versatility of use and adaptation to different soil, climate and technological conditions. To be able to reach its maximum potential we have to know the characteristics of each type. Aside from the following classifications there are intermediate types such as the ones destined to double grain use and fodder.
Fodder Sorghum or Sorghum Bicolor, are varieties destined to the production of fodder, chosen thanks to their easily digested leaf area index. There are also varieties destined for biomass to produce energy.
