English Ryegrass

English Ryegrass (Lolium perenne) is an essential grass forming permanent meadows, with a mix of multi-year forage, perennial or self-reseeding legumes.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • Recommended for grazing, although it could be used for green fodder, hay, or silage.
  • The pasture favors the implantation of this species compared to other grasses.
  • Prefers cool and humid climates
  • The root system cannot withstand water logging, so it needs drained soils.
